At Stillpoint Psychotherapy, Frank Hood offers a space where clarity arises not through force, but through stillness. A Licensed Professional Counselor with over 15 years of experience, Frank brings a grounded presence and a thoughtful, insight-oriented approach to the therapeutic process. He holds a BS in Psychology from Northwestern State University and an MA in Counseling Psychology from McNeese State University. He is currently completing his doctoral studies in Psychology through California Southern University.
Frank has worked across a range of settings—including inpatient treatment, community mental health, and private practice—supporting adults, couples, and adolescents in navigating everything from trauma and grief to depression, anxiety, and addiction. His clinical approach draws from depth psychology, Gestalt therapy, cognitive work, and clinical hypnosis. Each session is shaped by the belief that true healing emerges when we create space to listen inward, align with our nature, and move with intention.
Trained in evidence-based practices yet rooted in the wisdom of inner experience, Frank helps clients explore the unconscious patterns that shape their lives. He incorporates clinical hypnosis for smoking cessation, substance use, and other behavioral concerns, and is in the process of obtaining certification through the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis.
Frank works best with those ready to pause, reflect, and do the deeper work. Whether you’re confronting long-standing patterns or new chapters of struggle, Stillpoint offers a space to return to your center—and begin again.
